Fairfield, CT—The Faxon Law Fairfield Road Race returns in 2021 with the signature two-day event back on the beautiful Jennings Beach in Fairfield, CT. With 2,000 runners already registered, organizers expect a crowd of nearly 3,000 runners. Next weekend’s race will be the largest foot race held in Connecticut in nearly 2 years.
The event will take place the weekend of June 26 and 27, where Saturday will host the 5k and Lil’ Stags Fun Run and Sunday will host the half marathon. Both days will feature what’s known as the “Lucas Challenge” sponsored by Fairfield University, which challenges runners to conquer both the half marathon and the 5k, totaling 16.2 miles in two days.
Race organizers are thrilled to announce the return of the Post-Race Beach Party in 2021, with live music, food vendors, and a live awards ceremony! There will also be the return of bands and cheer groups along the race course to cheer on all of the runners. Packet Pick-Up prior to Race Day will be hosted by SoundRunner in Fairfield, or participants have the option to have their race-day gear mailed to them.
