Atlanta, GA—The Faxon Law New Haven Road Race is proud to announce the race’s Elite Athlete Coordinator, John Tolbert, is headed to Atlanta this weekend for the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials, as the Woman’s Long-Distance Running Associate Chairman. The Trials will determine the three men and three women who will represent Team USA in the marathon at the 2020 Olympic Games. Tolbert has been the New Haven Road Race’s Elite Athlete Coordinator since 2001 and plays a vital role in the event’s success. Many of the top qualifiers have recently run in the Faxon Law New Haven 20K.
The Faxon Law New Haven Road Race is home to the USATF 20K National Championships. It is the longest-running USATF championship in the country. Tolbert recruits the best distance runners in the nation to New Haven and handles all needs for elite athletes during their stay in the Elm City. Tolbert will be working with the elite athletes during race week in Atlanta for the Trials.

The U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials will be nationally televised live from Atlanta starting at noon this Saturday on NBC.
The annual Faxon Law New Haven Road Race is a Labor Day tradition in New Haven and is scheduled for Monday, September 7, 2020. The races include a 20K, half marathon, relay, 5K and Kids Fun Run.
