About Brittany

Brittany joined Faxon Law Group in 2016 after practicing in the area of insurance defense, including medical malpractice and products liability. Her decade spent defending doctors and hospitals in medical malpractice suits afford Brittany a unique and knowledgeable perspective when advocating for our injured plaintiffs. She is admitted to practice before the state bars of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont, and the federal districts of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and the Southern District of New York, as well as the United States Court of Federal Claims (vaccine court.) She has been named a “Rising Star” and a “Super Lawyer” by Connecticut and New England Super Lawyers® and has been recognized as a “New Leader in Law” by the Connecticut Law Tribune

Brittany is an experienced trial lawyer, handling catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases.  In 2019, she obtained a hard-fought jury verdict in federal court for a skier who was severely injured by an off-duty resort employee while skiing.  She also works closely with Joel Faxon and Timothy Pothin, handling various aspects of every firm client’s case, including motion practice, depositions, arguments, and settlement conferences.

Brittany has always been passionate in the fight for human rights. During law school, she was part of the trial team responsible for prosecuting individuals who committed grave violations against citizens of the former Yugoslavia during the Balkan Wars. This experience formed in her a desire to be an advocate on behalf of clients and to hold accountable those responsible for causing unnecessary injuries and losses.

Brittany serves on the Board of Directors for A Place to Nourish your Health (APNH) — a community non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and holistic services to individuals and families whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and/or mental illness.  She is a member of the LGBT section of the Connecticut Bar Association. She enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking with her dog, and playing goalie in the Nutmeg Women’s Soccer League.

Faxon Law Group often is the first to step up, give more, or say YES. We look for opportunities that exist outside the box that could elicit a positive change and ask “what if?” and “why not?” So it is with much pride that we share our 4-3-2-1 impact with the community and vow that the first three numbers in the sequence will only continue to grow.

Since its inception, Faxon Law Group has donated more than $4 million dollars to over 300 local, non-profit organizations, and has impacted an estimated 200,000 community members served by non-profits.
