defective drugs

Pharmaceutical manufacturers have an obligation to provide products that are safe and effective for consumers when used as intended. Even with product approval by the FDA, a manufacturer may still be liable in the case of complications. In recent years, prescription drug recalls and problematic safety records have drawn attention to certain drugs that have proved to be harmful if taken over a prolonged period of time, and which may even cause serious cardiovascular problems or death.

Unfortunately, many drugs manufactured and rushed to market create unintended health risks for consumers and we get involved to represent those harmed. For example, Faxon Law Group recently represented over 250 families who suffered injury due to Vioxx, Bextra, and Celebrex—defective Cox-2 inhibitor drugs used to treat arthritis pain. This class of drugs was shown to have dangerous side effects such as clotting, heart attack and stroke.
